Info about the FEL workshop INDICO page
This is a one-day workshop of the Canadian research collaboration to establish a distributed Canadian FEL infrastructure for the photon science community. The workshop is hosted by TRIUMF and will take place on March 19, 2024 in the MOB Auditorium at TRIUMF from 9:00 – 17:00 hours.
We will have presentations on the overall project status and about the plans of the different groups related to the CFI project. The focus of the workshop will be on the plans for the different sites in terms of the specifications and requirements for the accelerator systems and including bunch compressor and undulator systems, based on the science cases. In addition, a discussion on further funding requests is planned in the framework of NFRF and the next CFI round.
THE HOST – TRIUMF:
Established in 1968 in Vancouver, TRIUMF is Canada’s particle accelerator centre. The lab is a hub for discovery and innovation inspired by a half-century of ingenuity in answering nature's most challenging questions. TRIUMF employs a unique accelerator complex, that comprises high intensity driver beams for secondary particle production and a world class rare isotope facility - ISAC.
