Description
The Superconducting-Darmstadt linear accelerator (S-DALINAC) is operational at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and represents the major research instrument at its institute for nuclear physics.
Its research program focuses an precision studies of photonuclear reactions with real and virtual photons at low momentum transfers and impacts on various fields ranging from nuclear structure physics and nuclear astrophysics to support for searches beyond the standard model as well as detector and accelerator technology [1].
We present a few research examples and indicate current initiatives for future experimental opportunities.
