Spear-phishing
Definition: Spear-phishing is a type of phishing attack that targets specific individuals or organizations typically through malicious emails. The goal of spear phishing is to steal sensitive information such as login credentials or infect the targets' device with malware.
We have been alerted that some individuals have received emails asking for banking information with a docusign document. Others have been requested to provide accommodation information.
NN2024 does not and will not request this information from you.
Any communication from NN2024 will be clearly identified as being from a NN2024 LOC Member, or from the TRIUMF Conference Services Group.
We will clearly identify who the email is from so that you can confirm the origin.
