The UBC campus itself has many restaurants and stores. The closest area to TRIUMF is Wesbrook Village, inbetween TRIUMF House and TRIUMF itself, where you can find a groccery store, pharmacy and some food locations. The north end of campus has more food options, but during the day is much busier with students. There are a number of private and UBC owned restaurants, cafes and quicker food options.
Some recommendations in Wesbrook:
- Doughgirls - A cafe and bakery in Wesbrook Village (opens at 8 am)
- Blenz Coffee (opens at 6:30 am)
- Save-On-Foods - Groccery store with some ready-to-eat food available (opens at 7 am)
- There's a very small Starbucks inside the groccery store, with a limited menu
Some recommendation on the North end of campus:
- Koerner's Pub - For drinks and a small pub food menu
- Right near the the Museum of Anthropology, this is a great option for dinner for those wishing to visit the museum on Thursday evening (open until 10 pm)
- Note the entrance is through a parking lot
- JJ Bean Coffee Roasters (opens at 7 am) - For coffee and baked goods, on of the main UBC bus loops.
- Bean Around The World Coffee House & Bistro - Cafe a 10 min walk from from TRIUMF hosue (opens at 8 am)
- Great Dane Coffee - For coffee and baked goods
- Rain or Shine Ice Cream - A small chain Vancouver staple ice cream store
