TRIUMF Tour – Friday, October 24
Join us for an exclusive guided tour of TRIUMF, Canada’s national particle accelerator centre, at the conclusion of EMIS 2025.
📅 Date: Friday afternoon, October 24
⏱ Time: The bus will leave Whistler at noon, shortly after the last session.
⏱ Duration: ~2 hours
🚌 Transport: Chartered bus from Fairmont Whistler to TRIUMF (Sign up upon registration required! one-way only; onward travel is self-arranged – public transit is available near TRIUMF). The bus will also stop in Vancouver downtown for everyone that signed up for transport back to Vancouver but won't join the TRIUMF tour.
👥 Capacity: Limited – reserve during online registration and confirm your “area of interest” at the conference registration desk.

- ISAC Experimental Halls
- Meson Hall
- The ARIEL Target Hall (currently under construction – rare access before it becomes a restricted area)
Tour Customization

- ISOL targets & ion sources
- Radioactive ion beam (RIB) experiments
- Ion traps & beam manipulation
- Life science applications
All groups visit the same locations; content and emphasis will vary based on the selected topic.
